Cagayan Land Property Development Corp. won the bidding for the construction of the International Airport in Lallo, Cagayan. They were awarded with P1.658-billion by the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport (CSEZFP). This is a joint project between the Cagayan Land Property Development Corp and the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and the joint venture will last for 50 years. The airport is a good compliment for the Port Irene SeaPort. According to the Air Transportation Office, there are 2,359 international visitor arrivals in Cagayan via the Tuguegaro City Airport from Macau and China alone in 2008. Chartered flights bring tourists to CSEZFP via Tuguegarao.
