Low Cost Condos for Illegal Settlers in Taguig

Taguig government together with Gawad Kalinga, Habitat for Humanity, and the Coalition for the Homeless Foundation offers very low cost condominiums for the illegal settlers in Western Bicutan. The gated residential village will be called Jack and Jill Village and it will be one of the 16 low cost housing that will be offered to illegal settlers. So instead of relocating them somewhere else, the Taguig government wants to teach the illegal settlers of condo living. One unit costs only for as low as P500 a month and other units may cost until P1,800 a month. The future tenants also helped in constructing their future homes which will make them appreciate the value of having a home that they have built themselves. Gawad Kalinga and Habitat for Humanity also have made guidelines for tenants to follow so that order and cleanliness can be maintained.
