Madonna closed on a real estate purchase for $32.5 million where she received a 28 percent discount. The non-discounted price tag of the property, a 57-foot-wide town house, is $45 million. The town house is a Georgian-style which is not located near the posh homes of Fifth Avenue.
Wendy Maitland represented Madonna in this transaction. She is a broker at Brown Harris Stevens.
Madonna’s new mansion in Manhattan is definitely one of widest townhouses there. The said house includes 26 rooms. Out of the 26 rooms, 13 are bedrooms while the other one is a 38-foot-wide drawing room. In addition, there are 9 fireplaces and a 3,000 square-foot garden at the back.
The said real estate’s zoning is beyond the scope of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. This means that the house’s size can be doubled.
