DPWH-Southern Mindanao is now working overtime to finish the infrastructure projects promised by PGMA. According to DPWH Southern Mindanao Director Osop Ali, SONA projects will be completed by December 2009. The said major infrastructure projects include: Kapalong-Talaingod-Valencia highway and the Surigao-Davao Oriental coastal road.
According to the Director, the Kapalong-Talaingod-Valencia highway is 86 percent complete while the Surigao-Davao Oriental coastal road is more than 80 percent complete. For the first half of the year, a total of 2.8 billion pesos were already spent on these projects.
